The Joint Service Provider (JSP) program is searching for a Security Architecture Team Lead to join their team in Arlington, VA .

The Joint Service Provider (JSP) program provides a full range of information technology products, services, solutions and customer support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and the Joint Staff (JS), the Director of Administration (DA), the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA), the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) and other various OSD offices to meet mission and business requirements.

The Security Architecture Team Lead is responsible for ensuring any Joint Service Provider (JSP) design solution complies with security requirements at a solution, system, or network level and enforces implementation of common security services and security zones.

Through the accomplishments of the Cyber Security program, JSP performs a wide variety of services and functions required to assure the information security posture for Department of Defense (DOD) Services. The scope of the Cyber Security tasks includes the following:

  • Program Management

  • Compliance

  • Vulnerability Management

  • Assessment & Authorization

  • Audit Support

  • Risk Assessment

  • Vulnerability Assessment

  • Training

  • Information System Security Officers

Key Responsibilities:

  • The team shall ensure design reviews are IAW with all applicable government directives, approved frameworks, and industry standards, including, but not limited to, DOD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Instructions, Directions, policy, regulations, guides, NSA security guides, government directives, government approved frameworks, to ensure every DOD Information System & Computer Network provides appropriate Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability.

  • Conduct Design Reviews, Go-Live Reviews, as well as Transition Reviews of all projects. All initiatives requiring modification to ports and protocols will be reviewed and verified to be allowed IAW the DoD Category Assurance List (CAL) for Ports and Protocols Services Management (PPSM), to include recommendations to the Government as to the level of risk associated with the addition of new firewall rules.

Basic Qualifications:

Education Requirement:

  • BS or above with an IT focus, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Years of Experience:

  • Seven (7) years of demonstrated Cybersecurity experience.

  • Four (4) years of demonstrated aggregate experience involved in detailed design, installation, and configuration of IT systems and networks in accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) Cybersecurity policies and DISA STIGs, to include the configuration and use of security products

  • Four (4) years of demonstrated aggregate experience performing IT application, system, and Network project reviews and providing technical and policy DoD cybersecurity guidance

Certification Requirements:

  • Meet DoDD 8570.1/DoD 8570.01-M certification requirements for IA Technical (IAT) III

Clearance Requirements:

  • Top Secret clearance and DIA adjudicated SCI eligible

Experience Requirements:

Demonstrated skills and experience in at least five (5) of the following 9 areas of expertise:

-Current Microsoft server and workstation OS security configurations

-Current Red Hat Linux Enterprise OS security configurations

-Current Unix OS security configurations

-Current Microsoft server and desktop application security (MS SharePoint)

-VMWare security

-Database security (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL, MS Access)
