MTEQ is seeking a highly motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to support and guide the design, development and implementation of security policy, requirements full system accreditation process Risk Management Framework (RMF) for leading edge Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Program Executive Office – Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors (PEO IEW&S) systems. This fully funded position is available for immediate hire. A successful candidate will lead the implementation of Cybersecurity solutions through the planning, training, and configuration of target software systems in accordance with defined policy and security requirements. Additional responsibilities include documentation of all findings through the production of formal and informal reports, briefings, providing direct guidance to the government regarding the implementation of security and functionality requirements, system architecture, and security designs to further guide system development throughout the full lifecycle. Candidates will be expected to perform thorough risk assessments throughout the development lifecycle as well as continuously monitoring security relevant changes of the software system. The Cybersecurity Engineer will need to protect computer based network systems by identifying vulnerabilities and potentials for attacks, discover methods of protecting global networks, computer systems, or specific hardware or software, and design, demonstrate, develop, implement, or update protection methods and recommend mitigation strategies and techniques. Successful candidates will identify vulnerabilities of and attacks to various physical properties of equipment, and security mechanisms and characterize those attacks with respect to resources and capabilities required to accomplish those attacks and relate those vulnerabilities and attacks to their effects on the operations and missions supported by those systems. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with clients and be attentive to customer satisfaction and will be required to work closely with hardware and systems engineers in a small-team environment.


• Demonstrated strong performance as a Cybersecurity Engineer, developing or implementing information systems with a broad experience base across the entire project lifecycle including testing and support to DT&E/OT&E.

• Currently possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain additional compartmentalized levels

• Demonstrated experienced with DoD accreditation process using the RMF process and tools such as eMASS

• Demonstrated, hands-on experience with cybersecurity evaluation tools such as Retina

• Demonstrated experienced in applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to mitigate system vulnerabilities

• Possesses demonstrated understanding of SDLC process with DoD, Acquisition based programs

• Demonstrated strong performance working in a multi-contractor, on-site and virtual environment

• Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills

• Able to multi-task, self-assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Experience with HBSS desired

• Top Secret with SCI desired

• Experience with HBSS desired

• Proficient with DCGS-A and Army Electronic Warfare systems and environments

• Knowledge of Army intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems

• Experience in technical aspects of systems engineering, including security infrastructure, networks, systems development and systems design

• Experience with supporting the overall engineering integration of relevant system engineering and integration efforts for DoD, other government agency, or commercial programs

• Industry certifications, including CCNA, Microsoft, Linux+, and Security+

• CISSP, Security+, and CEH Certifications preferred
