M&A Healthcare Provider Manager- Strategy & Operations Pressure to meet growth expectations, along with internal pipeline and development challenges, are placing added emphasis on M&A activity for Healthcare providers. Today s organizations will need to develop robust M&A capabilities that address the challenges and opportunities of diversification; a focus on Biotech; joint ventures, alliances, and licensing deals; and emerging markets. Work you ll do We are looking for practitioners who will work alongside Healthcare provders to drive business value through end-to-end delivery of solutions. You improve our clients' profitability and business productivity by enhancing core elements of their business model, creating value through process simplification, operating cost reduction and service improvement. Typical project responsibilities of a Manager could include: Develop the detailed, quantitative analysis work associated with developing meaningful insights to address Healthcare clients biggest challengesParticipate in setting engagement objectives and scopeDevelop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scopeDesign deliverable content to precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needsStrive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of resultsParticipate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities The team Deloitte Managers in the Healthcare M&A practice work with a project team dedicated to a single client, taking direction from the project leader. Our Principals/Partners/ Directors serve as the project leaders and Managers work with them and other Consultants at all levels, often with exposure to clients C-level executives, organizational leaders and team members. Managers will lead work streams of client projects and contribute to the overall engagement delivery. Project teams work onsite with the client team, typically necessitating travel three to four nights a week. Qualifications Required: Bachelor s degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record5 years of professional experience in Healthcare industry, a few years functioning as a Manager in a Consulting environment.Demonstrates consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility; performed above expectations in professional rolesAbility to work independently; lead teams focused on specific work streams of large projects.Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and MS Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and PowerPoint proficiencyWillingness and ability to travel 80 % Preferred Skills: Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions areas such as operational due diligence, synergy capture, integration strategy and execution, M&A capability development and restructuringAdvanced degree in businessExperience in Health Plan, Health Insurance or healthcare industry areaExperience and ability to perform analysis and synthesize data into useful insights.An advanced degree is preferredSuperior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional interpersonal, team-building and communication skillsAbility to lead small teams and own deliverablesOutstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passionAbility to work in an ambiguous environmentStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.Live within commuting distance to one of Deloitte s consulting offices How you ll grow At Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
