Overview:
Provides
direction and specialist knowledge in the development of detailed enablement solutions
that aid Oracle’s customers in their journey to the Cloud. Facilitates customer understanding of Oracle Cloud
University’s learning and enablement options and solutions for Oracle’s Software
as a Service (SaaS) offerings. Engages
with customers through presentations, demonstrations and written proposals
while providing subject matter expertise and support throughout the entire sales
cycle.
Detailed Description:
As
a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales
functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer
satisfaction. As a Senior Sales
Consultant you will be required to:
Design, validate, and present learning &enablement solutions for Oracle’s SaaS offerings
Develop and deliver sales presentations anddemonstrations
Articulate Oracle University’s enablement approachand methodology
Develop and maintain high quality, professionalrelationships with clients as well as the sales team.
Act as a resource for less experienced SalesConsultants
Core
Responsibilities Include:
Identify
customer learning & enablement requirements based on proposed solution
and/or project at hand. Map training
requirements to a detailed training solution with a focus on providing an end
to end training solution across the implementation lifecycle
Develop anddeliver high quality, customized Oracle presentations and demonstrations toaddress customer enablement needs
Shareresponsibility for sales strategy with the Account Representatives, as required
Establishaccount presence and build trust with key contacts
Demonstratein-depth proficiency with Oracle’s SaaS solutions and offerings with a broadunderstanding of Oracle’s cloud (PaaS/IaaS) solutions
Manage customervisits, presentations, and RFP/RFI’s as directed by management
Pursuenon-traditional approaches, when appropriate, to resolve problems and maximizeopportunities
Actively mentorjunior members of the group, as directed by management
Communicatesinformation proactively with other Sales Consultants across organizations
Provide metricson deals worked, success stories, and lessons learned
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, advanced degree desirable
IndustryExperience: Minimum 5 years of experience working with enterprise softwaresolutions or prior enterprise software implementation experience; preferably Oracle
Strongknowledge of Oracle’s Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings
Mustdemonstrate strong pre-sales skills with the ability to work within complexsales cycles
Demonstratedunderstanding of standard business processes and customer business in general
Must exhibitstrong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning,business justification, closing techniques
Must be able towork both individually and in a team setting
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Education Solution Consultants work with Oracle University Education Sales Representatives to develop and deliver comprehensive, customized education solutions that enable successful implementation, adoption, and usage of Oracle technologies to OU customers and prospects. This includes understanding the customer’s business objectives and critical business issues, and creating comprehensive training readiness solutions to support the customer’s proprietary business processes.
Analyze a customer’s training needs through discovery, and develop a comprehensive training solution to address project team readiness specifications. Actively communicate the value of Oracle University throughout the sales lifecycle. Participate in professional development sessions for OU sales representatives and fellow sales consultants. Understand Oracle corporate direction around new product development, mergers and acquisitions, and curriculum delivery methods. Ensure a complete transfer of information to Oracle University’s Delivery organization, and post-sales support personnel. Understand and utilize Oracle methodologies, standards and frameworks around customer communications, including RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and services descriptions. Understand and promote Oracle’s implementation and education best practices, tools and methodology. Identify opportunities to expand the breadth of Oracle University solutions during throughout the sales lifecycle, including identifying User Adoption Services (change management, end user training, etc.). Understand how to build a message around the impact of the technology change on a customer’s entire organization.
2 years training experience in developing comprehensive training solutions, incorporating a variety of delivery methods. Demonstrate the ability to discuss projects with various levels of customer management at a comfortable depth. Demonstrate a desire to continually grow one’s skill set. Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate ideas orally and in writing. Prefer strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively on a team. Communication will occur regularly with sales representatives and management, sales consultants and management, customers, and other Oracle organizations. Ability to take advantage of learning opportunities, and apply knowledge and skill on the job. Demonstrate a positive, “can do” attitude. Ability to travel in the continental United States as needed to meet with customers, support Oracle hosted events, etc. College degree, or equivalent experience. Familiarity with Oracle training development tools (Tutor, UPK, SimBuilder).
