Leidos Aeronautical Information Analyst in SILVER SPRING, Maryland


The Airport Survey Mapping team (ASM) on the NISC III contract is an Aeronautical Information team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). We are seeking a highly motivated individual to assist the Leidos ASM team as well as the FAA in creating Aeronautical Charts. The charts are to support the National Airspace System (NAS). The ASM Team creates and maintains electronic charts for two publications. The Chart Supplement Publication and the Terminal Procedures Publication. Both

Publications are for use on a 56-day charting cycle.

Responsibilities will be:

· Learning Aeronautical Information

· Analyzing the National Flight Data Digest (NFDD)

· Analyzing and charting the Airport Chart Change documents

· Utilizing various software to produce charts

· Analyze Aerial Photography

Interact with FAA ASM team members and FAA Management



· Bachelor’s Degree in Geography or related discipline from an accredited

College or University and 2 or less years of experience.

· Knowledge in Bentley Microstation

· CAD Software

· E.S.R.I Geographic Information System
